Lunch and Learn with Freedom 424
The Equipped Parent Workshop educates parents and guardians about the primary challenges facing today's youth, provides crucial online safety information, raises awareness to prevent human trafficking and exploitation, and offers strategies for building connections with your child while helping them establish boundaries to stay safe.
Learning Objectives
- Understand baseline factors that comprise youth culture
- Know main risk factors for potential child exploitation and trafficking
- Be able to define aspects of human trafficking as it relates to youth
- Be able to recognize potential red flags of potential/actual exploitation in youth
- Understand protective factors and healthy practices to be incorporated with youth
- Tips on how to protect youth who are on social media and gaming platforms
- Know how to report and respond to potential or actual cases of exploitation/trafficking
