Stage A - Water Discovery

Can the student respond to verbal cues and jump on land

  • If the answer is yes, please see Stage B
  • If the answer is no, this is where your child will begin their swim journey!

In Stage A students will learn: 

  • Blow bubbles on surface, assisted 
  • Front tow chin in water, assisted
  • Water entry, parent and child together 
  • Back floor assisted, head on shoulder
  • Roll assisted 
  • Front float chin in water, assisted 
  • Back tow assisted, head on shoulder 
  • Wall grab assisted

 

 
B

Stage B - Water Exploration

Is the student comfortable working with an instructor without a parent in the water?

  • If the answer is yes, please visit the Swim Basics page here. 
  • If the answer is no, this is the correct level for your child.

In Stage B students will learn: 

  • Blow bubbles, mouth and nose submerged, assisted 
  • Front tow blow bubbles, assisted 
  • Water exit, assisted 
  • Water entry, assisted 
  • Back Float assisted, head on shoulder 
  • Roll Assisted 
  • Front float blow bubbles, assisted
  • Back tow assisted, head on shoulder
  • Monkey crawl assisted, on edge for 5ft.
