If you’re 55 and older and are seeking opportunities to share in Book Club, Bridge Club, Hiking Club, attend self-improvement and self-development workshops, enjoy travel opportunities, then the Active Adult Program is the program for you. It enables older adults to stay active, engaged and socially connected.
Monthly meetings will enable those participating to discuss the book openly and share thoughts and ideas. Book club is flexible in attendance each month and there is no obligation to read the book.
Give your brain a workout with Bridge! Bridge Club will meet on the first Thursday and the third Tuesday of each month from 1-3pm. The level of play is advanced beginner to intermediate.
Pre-registration is required. If you register please attend. All playing material will be supplied by the Y.
The pace is always conducive to a group hike for those of varying activity level.
The time and location for the hikes will be announced the week of the hike depending on the weather Hikes are usually between 3-5 miles. Check out the calendar located on this web page for upcoming dates.
These workshops are free and open to the entire community. Topics will include medical presentations, workshops on Medicare and Medicaid updates, trip adventures from those who have traveled to far away places, hobbies and interests and any other topic which will be of interest to those 55 and older.
