Donor Supported Financial Assistance

It's time to get back to the Y - but for some, that may be a difficult task. Covid-19 hit our community hard, families lost income, individuals were furloughed or laid off, unexpected medical expenses, lost wages, and reduced access to child care have affected our friends and neighbors. Just as the Y has always done, we are offering donor supported financial assistance to all in our community.

To date, 417 households, including foster families, children, and seniors, are receiving donor supported financial aid to ensure access to the Y's vital health and wellness services.

LiveStrong at the YMCA, a cancer survivorship program, has been successful ensuring our most at risk participants continued to receive support during the COVID-19 pandemic. LiveStrong at the YMCA offers cancer survivors mental, emotional and physical support so that cancer survivors can get back to being their best selves. Continuing to provide the emotional and mental support that our friends experience through this program is vital to their overall wellness and success of their complete recovery. With the magic of modern technology and ingenuity of our program directors and instructors we are happy to announce that LiveStrong at the YMCA was accessible and successful. Soon participants will gather again in person, safely.

LiveStrong at the YMCA is offered to cancer survivors at no charge, and we are eager to continue offering this to our community. With your help we can continue to do so.
