The YMCA is launching our Annual Giving Campaign with Day of Giving on Monday, March 6, 2023.
YMCA Day of Giving is an annual one-day event that provides an opportunity to give to your local YMCA. The Y is one of the nation's leading nonprofits dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
The YMCA of Central Virginia supports the needs of our growing and diverse community through quality programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
One hundred percent of your donation will be used to support local programs and services in our community such as LiveSTRONG at the YMCA; a cancer survivorship program, Rock Steady Boxing, a program designed to assist those living with Parkinson's disease, YMCA Teen Center; launching in 2023, the YMCA Teen Center offers a safe atmosphere for Lynchburg teens to gather, at no charge to the teen or their family, Safety Around Water swim outreach and more.
Your gift supports your friends and neighbors in need. Thousands of lives have already been positively affected thanks to the generosity of donors, YMCA members, partners, and partner organizations.

Lifelong Essentials for Activity & Nutrition (LEAN) supports health seekers in their journey to becoming more active and eating smarter for healthy weight loss, increasing participants' self-esteem and odds at better health while decreasing the chance of developing many chronic illnesses.
Childcare, youth sports, summer camp, and safety around water swim lessons instill confidence in kids while supporting families regardless of their life journey and circumstances.
These programs receive support from donors, just like you, to ensure that no child or family is ever turned away due to their inability to pay because of an unexpected life event.
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA assists those who are living with, through, or beyond cancer to strengthen their spirit, mind, and bod. LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is provided to participants at no cost to the participants or their families.
Rock Steady Boxing improves the quality of life for people battling Parkinson's disease.
Both of these programs are made possible through the financial support of donors and community partners.
New for 2023, the Downtown YMCA Teen Center offers a safe, friendly, and casual atmosphere for teens ages 12-18. Activities and membership are free to tall teens, and YMCA membership is not required.
